I was surprised and excited to find ECKERSLEY families in Utah from the LDS ancestor files. My family remained in England while 3 or 4 from Prestwich, Radcliffe, Oldham, Farnworth and Kearsley emigrated to the U.S. and Australia. Because of large number of Eckersleys with same first names in this area of Lancs. around 1800 it is very hard to prove links into 1700's. My interests are Thomas and Mary, George and Alice - all living in Prestwich around 1810. However, I collect all data on any ECKERSLEYS pre-1800 and try to assemble family groups from evidence available. I'd be delighted to hear from any descendents from Lancashire
