SHELBY: E. Jeannette Broderick, age 88, resident of Plymouth died Tuesday November 22, 2011 in Mercy Hospital in Willard, Ohio.
Born December 22, 1922 in Huron County, Ohio to Don G. & Marguerite (McBride) Echelbarger, she had been a lifelong Plymouth, Ohio resident.
A 1940 graduate of Plymouth High School,
Jeannette had been a homemaker most of her life.
She enjoyed hunting mushrooms, was famous for her home baked pies and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include son Joseph (Nancy) Broderick of Huron, OH; daughter, Janet Walker of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA; eight grandchildren, Annya, Allyson, Jeremy, Jason, Andy, Danielle, Christopher and Jamus; one great granddaughter, Elly; five sisters, Donna Dawson of Shelby, Lucille Ross and Betty Gilger both of Plymouth, Gertrude Beaty of Shenandoah and Ella Jane Albert of Greenwich; sister-in-law, Carol Echelbarger and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband James R. Broderick in 1981; son, James M. Broderick in 2009; one brother, Mac Echelbarger and one sister, Dorthea Arnold.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday November 26, 2011 from the Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby. Interment in Most Pure Heart of Mary Cemetery.
