Surnames: Eccles Rhodes Gregson Simpson Kitchen
Hi Paul,
The tree that I have made begins with William Eccles & Ellen Rhodes, married 6 Sep 1614 in Chipping; Ellen's Brothers were named John & Leonard. Their Son was Thomas Eccles, bap 7 Jul 1615, buried 18 Feb 1655/6 in Chipping, Will 16 Feb, Husbandman, wife unknown. Thomas is supposed to be the Father of the Edmund Eccles (d18 Jun)who married Elizabeth (d28 Dec) and gave birth to the founder of Lee House (Thomas) as well as Edmund, Alice and Seth. Seth Eccles (d1724)married Ann Gregson (d1737)on 21 Nov 1700 in St. Wilfred, Ribchester. Ann Gregson's Mother's name was Katherine (d1721 in Balderstone) and her Brothers were: John, George, Thomas. Seth & Ann had a son named John, who married a Jennet 'Jane' Dewhurst and that is the line that I come from. I obtained the names of John & Jennet from the Catholic returns of 1767. They were the parents of my Edmund, b1755, d1803, Husbandman of Whittingham, wives: Jane Simpson & Sarah 'Sally' Kitchen.
If you can see any problems with this tree, I would be grateful for your input.
Regards, Adrian
