I am still trying to locate info on the Eccher side of my family. Emanuelle (Emannele) was 42 in 1901 when he came back to the US (he was a citizen when he returned). Per the manifest, he originally came to the US in 1889. When he came back in 1901, his sister, Fortunata Quaiata (originally came to US 1890) came with him along with her children (all US citizens), Emilio (8 in 1901), Gisilla (7), & Maria (6). Also, Rosa Pacher came with my g-grandfather. She later became his 2nd wife. Fortunata & Emanuelle's father was Antonio Eccher. They were born in Roncegno (Rencegno), Austria. I know my g-grandfather spoke Italian & German. Any help learning more about this branch of the Eccher family and Quaiata family would be appreciated.

Roncegno is east of Trento, in the Val Sugana. You can go to any LDS Family History Library (Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints) and order films with births, deaths and marriages. I am sure you will find your family there.
I have Ecchers in my family in Val di Sole.

Thank you for the information. I am sorry I have not responded earlier, but I was experiencing health problems. I still no very little about the Eccher family. My aunt has a post card showing Roncegno.

Hello Jane,
Not sure if we are related Eccher's, but there was an Antonio in the vague faint history we have. The Eccher's in Millstadt, IL are alive and well.
