AUSTINTOWN - Donald LeRoy Ebaugh, 96, went home on Feb. 22, 2015.
He resided at Clarebridge Memory Care in Austintown, Ohio.
Donald was born July 13, 1918, in Clear Lake, Iowa.
He married Elizabeth Jane (McSkimming) Ebaugh, June 15, 1946.
He was previously married to Mary Elizabeth Merwin in may of 1939, and she passed away July 13, 1940, from complications of child birth, when their daughter was born. Donald served in the Army from 1944 to 1946.
After his marriage, Donald and Elizabeth made their home in Clear Lake, Iowa.
After Donald retired from the Clear Lake Bakery in 1980, they moved to Bella Vista, Ark. for a few years. They bought a fifth wheel trailer and truck and spent several years traveling around the United States.
After that, they bought a home in Austintown, Ohio, and had lived in the area ever since.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy Ebaugh and Ethlyn (Foster) Ebaugh; a son, Robert Ebaugh; and sister Evelyn (Ebaugh) DeBell.
His daughters are Patricia (Ebaugh) Kowal of Austintown, and Linda (Ebaugh) Scratchard, of Ford Cliff, Pa.
There are nine grandchildren, Lori (Kowal) Scopelite, Scott Kowal, Michelle George, Christi Stone, Aaron Ebaugh, Nathan Ebaugh, Jason Ebaugh, Joshua Ebaugh, and Elissa (Ebaugh) Rodgers; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
The family wants to especially thank the following for their exceptional care of all his needs: Humility House, where Donald spent four years of care; Clarebridge, where he last resided; and Hospice of the Valley.
Donald has donated his body to science at NEOUCOM College of Medicine, Rootstown, Ohio.
Friends may call at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, with a memorial service immediately following at noon in the Fellowship Hall of Highway Tabernacle, on the corner of Kirk and Raccoon Roads in Austintown, OH
