Jose Y'barbo is a godparent on Catholic records for my Dammie Mary Delrio b. 1901 in Nachitoches La.

Dammie's grandparents were: Wincy Jane Adams Y'barbo
and Pierre Y'barbo

I can't find Pierre's father still looking--Jose could have been uncle/ I am not sure--he appears along with Rosa Y'barbo on the certificate.

Hi Mary,

Do you have the descendants of Jose and Isabel/Elizabeth Craig? She was the sister to my great grandfather.

Thanks
Ruth

Also, I have another child listed for Isabelle and Jose, a daughter Julia, born 1889, died 1976. I would love to exchange information with you.

I am new to this/my dad's grandfather was Pierre Y'barbo and Wincy was his wife. Dad is Jimmie Herbert Barbo, and my Mom was Oleta Williamson Barbo. His dad was Felix Barbo and Grandpa's wife was Julia Ezernack. Dad had four brothers, he is the only one living now. His brothers that I knew were Willie P. Barbo, Felix Barbo, Jr., Marshall Lee Barbo, and one that died as a baby. He had one sister, Virgie Lee Barbo. My dad, Grandpa and Grandma(deceased), Virgie Lee(deceased) lived in Natchitoches, La. Uncle Willie(deceased) lived in Winfield, La. and Uncle Felix(deceased) lived in Corning, CA. I remember dad talking of Lucien Barbo(deceased), his uncle, my great-uncle, who lived around DeRidder, La. and also an Aunt Mary(deceased), who lived around Hornbeck, La. Uncle Lucien and Aunt Mary I think were Grandpa's siblings...some of Pierre's children... I'm not quite sure. Dad will be 86 years old this May.
Does this ring a bell with anyone?

Jose-I have Pierre and Wincy Jane in my husband's line.

Pierre Ybarbo born 1838 Nachitoches census living with brother and several other Ybarbo clan--

Married Wincy Jane Adams(not real sure on her last name)

they had Lucien, Pierre Jr., Mary Elmira(my husband's great grandmother)

I am pretty sure Pierre's father was named Lucien b. 1811--still working on that.

I was told by historians-that Ybarbo, Delrio, Ezernack are were early colonist of Natchitoches--all 3 of these families are in our line.

I have documents that belong to Wincy Jane-

Write back--

You mentioned an Ezernack.

Wincy and Pierre-daughter Mary Elmira was married to an Ezernack--he died and then she married Frank Delrio (our great grandfather) Mary had a son by Ezernack--his name was Nicholas Ezernack---we have all of his war documents--he was killed in action in WWI in Italy---I know the Ezernacks are all related but I can't find -Nicholas' fathers people.

I know they would like to see these awards- one is signed by Woodrow Wilson himself.

Karen
I posted a message on Feb 10, 2004 and my name did not show up in the 'author' area. I was inquiring about Pierre Y'barbo and his family. Which seems to be your family (mine also) I tried sending you an e-mail (with as much as I could remember of the names of my dad's line from Pierre to me) at the address that was in your last post but it came back to me and this morning I tried your phone number and could not get through on it either. My e-mail is ddh@cableone.net --please let me hear from you...
