Info-dump post for anyone researching EATON in Indiana. Here is an article I came across that describes the death of Garland EATON in 1956, who drowned in the Eel River near Jasonville, IN after their boat capsized. Also drowned was a friend, Irene WELLS. Garland's brother, Orville EATON, and another friend, Ruth SPORK, made it safely to shore.
