Keith L. Eastman, age 70, of Summit Twp.,
passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011
at UPMC Hamot.
He was born in Erie,PA, on July 14, 1941,
son of the late Norman and Vera Peck Eastman.
Keith was a 1960 graduate of Harbor Creek High School.
He spent four years in the U.S. Air Force as an Aircraft Fuel Systems Mechanic. He attended the Pittsburgh School of Aeronautics and later earned a private pilots' license. Keith worked 17 years at Riley Stoker Corp. and retired in 2010 from Airgas. He enjoyed flying radio controlled airplanes and working on his classic cars, a '51 MG-TD and a '56 T-Bird. Keith also did a lot of "putter'n and tinker'n" and enjoyed attending antique car shows. He also enjoyed sharing his time by helping family and friends on many different projects. Keith is survived by his wife of 41 years, Phyllis; three sons, Jeff Eastman (Katie) of Akron, Ohio, Brian Eastman (Lisa) and Casey Eastman, all of Erie; one grandson, his "little buddy and sidekick", Logan; one brother, Murray Eastman and two nieces, Chenelle and Liza. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment, Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
