Hi L. Jamierson,
The one part of my study I've been trying to find, is where Aggie
Eastman is buried. I've located her land of allotment through the (BLM) but for some reason I need to know where she is. My grandmother Odessa
Eastman, is one of the daughters of Richard and
Sallie Eastman; Her father Richard
Eastman, is one of the sons of Nelson Eastman; Nelson
Eastman is the son of Aggie
Eastman,
SamsDuring enrollment, Aggie was enrolled two times, once as Choctaw
Freedman and in 1898 and in 1904 she enrolled as Chickasaw
Freedman. This duplicate enrollment is a matter of record. The gentleman who help Aggie enroll, was Charles
Cohee. In 1901 another gentleman helped Aggie get enrolled and his name is "
Mack Stevenson" he was 78 years old at the time.
Charles
Cohee was asked a question ...... Do you know where she lived after she married
Eastman? His answer was "She lived near Burwin in the Chickasaw Nation." What I would like to know is which
Eastman were they talking about. Charles F and Betsy
Eastman both past way long before the final enrollment.
I will try and contact you via email given the address I see here.
