I'm late to this thread but I'm curious as well. I noted in my brief looking that there was also an Edward scheduled for Jamestown (just a little away from Nasemond) in 1609 on a ship called the Sea Venture. It's a well known story. Out of curiosity, I did a search through Family Search for an Edward Eason using a date range of 1575 to 1600. It came up with an Edward Eason christened in Chartham, Kent in 1589. His father's name was William. Nice coincidence. I used that as inspiration to check the Chartham parish register 1558-1674. There are a number of cross references to Edward and William Eason with familiar names like Mary 1602, daughter of William, Elizabeth 1619, daughter of Edward, William 1593/94 son of William, and John 1598 son of William. All of these names keep occurring in the name inventories I've looked at thus far. Perhaps total coincidence and common names for the era but could there be a chance?
