Hi, my wife is Pam Easby and her father Richard came from a tiny village in North Yorkshire called Lazenby. About a half mile from Lazenby is another village called Wilton. In Wilton is the parish church of St Cuthberts and the parish records are there, they are also held in Teesside Archives. My wife and I have researched the Easbys and are still doing so.The earliest record we can find of the Easbys is 1732. The Easbys lived and worked around Wilton/Lazenby for over 200 years. There is another 'clan' of Easbys dating from the 17th century in a vilage called Ingleby Greenhow which is about 12 or so miles from Wilton. I think these two ' clans are linked somehow, as the same family names crop up in each area, such as Joseph, Richard, Jane, Ralph. My wife and I still live in the area, Middlesbrough actually, which is about 40 miles south of Newcastl-upon-Tyne in North East England. If you want any more info I would be happy to help.
