Dear Mark,
George Henry was one of the brothers of my maternal grandmother, Ann Simpson nee Eamonson (1892-1971). I have lots of information about George's and Ann's family, photos of their parents etc., and am in touch with Mary Groutage, a great granddaughter of George Henry/grand daughter of George.
George Henry's parents were Joseph Wilson Eamonson and Henrietta nee Eastwood/Addy (her parents married after she was born, so her name changed from her mother's Addy to Eastwood). They lived in Leeds and the Eamonson family was in the West Riding/Leeds area for as far back as I have been able to trace it. George Henry's birth failed to get into the national register of births, but he is listed in censuses with his parents and siblings. All living Eamonsons are descended from Joseph Wilson's grandfather Samuel Eamonson (a maltster in Wakefield), so they are all your and my cousins to various degrees.
Happy to share information/scanned photos etc. and to put you in contact with Mary Groutage - my email is
m.fay@kew.orgBest wishes,
Michael Fay
