Reverend Sherwin Quintanilla Ealy, Sr. Passed away April 6, 2014 at the age of 70 after fighting leukemia/lymphoma with deep abiding faith and a courageous spirit
. The much-loved pastor of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church for sixteen years. Served The Lord faithfully and his family with compassion, compelling love and loved all people.

Beloved husband of Yvonne (Baumgardner) for fifty years.

Loving father of Darcus Wright, Robert (Ervina) Bennett, Kasandre (Rev. Jonathan) Brown, Sherwin II (Carla) Ealy, Michael (Amy) Ealy and LaKeisa (Tony) Gaines. Adoring grandfather of Jermaine, Marvin, James, Ashley, Brittani, Jonathan II, Quinn, Sean, Michael II, Devin, Maxwell, Morgan and ten great-grands.
Visitation will be Friday, April 18 from 4pm until 8pm at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church 1525 Lincoln Avenue.
Homegoing service will be Saturday, April 19 at 11:00 a.m. Revelation Baptist Church 1556 John Street.

The Rev. Sherwin Ealy of Cincinnati, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2014, with his family at his bedside.

Rev. Sherwin is formerly from Bluefield, W.Va., and visited Charleston, West Virginia often to be with his parents.
He had the blessed opportunity to preach at Levi Baptist, where his father, Rev. James C. Ealy, was the pastor; New Covenant Baptist, where his brother, Rev. James D. Ealy, was pastor, and First Missionary Baptist Church, London, where his brother-in-law, Rev. Garland Johnson, is the pastor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. James C. and Anna R. Ealy, and two sisters, Vincent Ealy Jordan and Gwendolyn Ealy Bane.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Yvonne Baumgardner Ealy; children, Darcus, Robert (Ervina), Kassandre' (Jonathan) Brown, Sherwin (Carla), Michael (Amy) and Lakeisa (Tony) Gaines; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His siblings include Cecil (Lucille) Ealy, Blanche Ealy Hooks, Barbara Ealy (Ernest) Tonic, Rev. James (Linda) Ealy and Brenda Ealy (Rev. Garland) Johnson.

He will be missed by his aunts, an uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his church family, Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, where he pastored for 16 years.

A wake will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 1525 Lincoln Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45206, on Friday, April 18.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at his home church, Revelation Missionary Baptist Church, 1556 John St., Cincinnati, Ohio.
