WILLIAM W. EAKER
William W. Eaker, 87 years old, died Thursday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Charles Eaker of Lutesville, with whom he had made his home the past ten years. Born on a farm near Lutesville, Mr. Eaker was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Eaker, and was a member of a large family whose ancestors came to this country on the Mayflower. He resided in Bollinger Co. all of his life and at an early age joined the Dry Creek Methodist Church and remained active in the works of the church.
On September 29, 1895, he was married to Amanda Rea. She preceded him in death as did a twin brothers, two children and three grandcvhildren.
Surviving besides the daughter, Mrs. Eaker, are a son, Omer of Granite City, IL; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Services were held Saturday at Baker Funeral Home. Interment was in Baker Cemetery.
