Hi, I think that I am a descendant of Reginald Eacott and Charles. My grandfather was William Eacott dob 27/01/1900. I think he was Reginald's and Charles youngest brother.

I was so excited to see your message, but I am confused as William born 27/1/1900 was the youngest brother of Reginald Charles born 5/4/1889 in Swindon, and Frederick William George born London 1886. William (Bill my Uncle) only had three children, Kenneth, Phyliss and Marjorie.(Marjorie died 1989) so he cannot be your Grandfather, but what I can tell you is that Reginald's Father was Thomas George Eacott married to Alice Emily Cunningham (they had seven children, all now deceased. I would be happy to exchange information with you if you wish, I live in Hampshire, England, I can trace this branch of Eacott back to 1790 the Mother of an illigitimate son, and have a Bastardy order against the Father. My niece and I are currently trying to establish what happened to Reginald and his brother Frederick, who were placed into the care of Barnardos because of family problems.I have a photo of both of them taken by Barnardos
My name is Margaret, e-mail marjon2a@btinternet.com

Hi Margaret, thanks for replying to my message. I'm sure that our paths must have crossed in the past as my mum was Marjorie, and Bill was my grandad. I am really interested in our family history and would love to know more about our ancestors and also about my grandmother who I know very little about, it would be great to exchange some information and memories. Amanda

Hi Amanda, YES OUR PATHS HAVE CROSSED, I am the daughter of Jessie, sister to Bill, we used to visit Bill, Marjorie and Barry, and were at Bill, Marjorie and Reg's funerals, we visited just before Reg died.

I seem to recall that you were about to marry, and Barry was living at 2 Faversham road, when we last were in Morden.

We are in contact by email with Kenneth and Marion; so where does that leave us? Ancestry seem to block out contact details, our telephone number is 01264 354262, maybe you could give me a ring, and I could send you via e-mail a short tree, how does that sound?
By for now, Margaret

Thank you, I would like to know more about William Henry Eacott (1869-1956) as he married Emma Cooper. William was a coach builder for the railways. I do have a photo of William.
Enjoy yourself on Skye.
