I'm looking for any information on this family or the business the husband was engaged in. The wife may be connected to my White family from Illinois.

Benjamin Eachus was first married to Elizabeth W. Murphy in Randolph Co., IL on Nov 7, 1848. They were recorded in Lee County, Iowa on the 1850 census with the last name spelled Ekes. Have not located them yet in 1860, but in 1870 they were recorded in Red Bluff, Tehama Co., CA. Elizabeth appears to have died between 1870 and 1876.

I have no ties with this family. I came up with this information while researching the children of John Murphy and Jane Day. Elizabeth Murphy's sister Frances was married to Edward H. Moore who is connected with my wife's ancestors. I will be updating my information on Rootsweb World Connect in a few days.
