Does anyone have any information on Mr. Dzaman who invented the cigarette lighter shaped like a gun? My mother worked for him in 1949 and she was wondering what ever became this wonderful man.

Mr. Gabriel Dzaman invented these lighters. His partner was Mr. Combs. My Mother worked for Mr. Dzaman in 1948 while she was a senior in high school. The factory was located in Hedding, Mansfield Township, Burlington Co., NJ. The building was the two room school that my Mother attended in elementary grades. The building was so small that there were only about eight employees. Mom was the only office worker. The first model had a black handle and different colored ones were later made. The pearl one was my Mother's favorite. Mr. Dzaman unfortunately befriended a man who later claimed to have been the inventor and sued him. Mr. Dzaman took it so badly that his health began to deteriorate. Mom thinks he died before it was settled.

I have a Dzaman Pistol Lighter which is chrome plated & has Black Plates either side of the handle, I believe that this type was of the first batch made back in 1948 is this correct & what value would it be to a collector? It was given to me by my American brother-in-law in 1952.
