Hello!

Do you know if William was married when he moved out here? My great grandfather was William Kosowan and I happened upon a grave site in Gardenton, Manitoba with a Nicholas Kosowan....I don't have the dates with me at the moment but as soon as I do I will let you know. If you know if William was married please let me know - wife would be Lena and a daughter Sofie.

Thank you.

my molther-in-law's maiden name was Djaman - she was born in Ethellbert along with two sisters, Jean and Natalie (names were anglicized at school). There was a fairly large Djaman family reunion in the Dauphin, Manitoba area and my understanding is a carin was dedicated during the reuinion to the family. Think my sister-in-law has some sort of family tree. Are you interested?

Hello,
My name is Lori and seeing as you are Freds daughter, your mother must be Alice. My father is Harold Dzaman from Manning so even tho we have not probably met we do kind of know each other.I am having a hard time finding anything on the family and Granny Jessie knew some but I never did get all of the info from her and started this after Grampa Steve passed on. Gran is now gone to so having even a harder time. Any info that your family knows would be greatly appreciated.
Bye for now
Lori

Are you referring to William Dzaman?
You know I have some info on Theodosia who married Moftay Dzaman, but I am thinking that who gave it to me was mixed up as they have her being born in Kosowan Ukrane, possibly this is her last name?

I have the record of the ship that Mafta and Theodosia came in 1914 from Hamburg. The S.S.Wittekind.They came with Wasylka 13,Wasyl (William)11,Nicolai 9,Axenia 6,and Stefan 3.Now some of the names are spelled a bit different but I do believe this is your family. Also I think the Dzaman(Jaman) families in Manitoba are probably related.Petro born 1863 and Ilutza born 1860.These 3 Dzaman men all came from the same village and all have the same childrens names as well. Most likely are related.Petro and Ilutza's mother was also in canada. She was Maria born 30 July 1817 and her husband was Todor Dzaman.
