Dear Ms. Slinker,
I have just begun to research the Dyatt family. It is the maternal branch of my wife's family, and so I am very interested in collecting whatever data I can find. The family is hard to research, so I was happy to see your reply. Do you have any information on Hugh's or Ann's parents? That is as far as I can go with the information I have. Thanks for your help.

is suppose to be Ann Brown.

Starting w/ your wife, what is her line of ascent to Hugh Dyatt Ann Jane Edgar?

Sorry for the delay. Here is our tree:
Saralyn Reece Hardy
Marynell Jane Dyatt (b 1921)
Verne Edgar Dyatt (b 1888) and Nell Edna Taylor
John Edgar Dyatt (b 1861) and Maria Jane Hines
Hugh Dyatt (b 1810) and Ann Jane Edgar
Fname Dyatt (b abt 1784) and Ann Brown
That is what I have. I would be very appreciative of anything you could add to this line. Also, I would be happy to share trees. I can send mine in ged or family tree maker. Thanks.

Dyatt's in Ireland

Classification: Query
I am wondering if you know anything of the Irish brnaches of the Dyatt family.
Part of my family married into the Dyatt family - and we have the descendants of a Robert Dyatt who died in 1901, from Ballynastraid, near Bushmills on the north Antrim coast of Ireland.
We understand that he married a Margaret Neely and that he had at least nine children ...
I should be delighted to hear from you if you have any detail about this or related families from the north Antrim area!

Kind regards

Shane,

I think Robert Dyatt (1834-1901) might be the younger brother of my Hugh Dyatt (1810-1889)who emigrated during the potato famine.

I have speculations on their Northern Ireland Dyatt line.

So, I also am from the Robert Dyatt Line, and I was wondering if you have been able to find any information linking the 2 as brothers. Based upon a lot of the names, they do seem to be very closely related. I've also been unable to find a lot on their father Robert Dyatt (sr.)
