I have a Lake City cemetery deed dated July 29, 1872, from Wabashaw County, Minn. transferring two lots from Abner and Zilpha Dwelle to Isaac C. Southard. The deed was witnessed by T.S. Dwelle. I am trying to determine if the Dwelles or Mr. Southard had relatives with the surname Rapp, my relative who lived in Minnesota. I have seen elsewhere the name Abner Dwelle as an American Revolutionary War soldier. Please post message to this board.

Thank you for the detailed information about Abner Dwelle. I had thought it was unusual to have the names Abner and Zilpha Dwelle printed on the cemetery deed, but it makes sense now that you have told me he established Lake City Cemetery, and thus had several lots to sell. I tend to think the name I need to learn more about is the person who purchased the lots, Isaac C. Southard, to see if he is kin to my Minnesota family named Rapp. Your information is an interesting window into the life of the people in that area.

Hello,

I saw your message about Isaac Suthard. I have a little info. on a Isaac Suthard who lived in McLeod County who married Louise Liebetran in 1897. Would this happen to be the same Isaac Southard? I am trying to find info about his father John James Southard.
