Hi Brian,
/
A couple of things I thought might interest you if you
ever come back here to check, my Mum and Dad called Tom
Dwan, Gerry all the time. I remember my Dad telling me
that Nan and Grandad had lost a little daughter and how
happy they were when son Tom had two daughters.

I found this daughter and her name was Ellen M.St.Olave. 1d 391
born
April may June 1922

she appears to have died according to this record from BMD
site. but there appears to be another death too at that time
could there have been two daughters. Dad thought it was
Flu.
Ellen m dwan l St. Olave 1d 104 death July Aug Sept 1923
Olive O . St Olave 1d 145

Hope you get this sometime.

Dixie

Hi, I know your post is very old now but I have just returned from a visit to Windsor with my mother in law who wanted to visit Runnymede to see the RAF memorial of her childhood sweetheart Leonard Stanley Dwan, who never returned home from his mission in June 1944. I thought I would research him a little for her as she says a day has never gone by when she has not thought of him. She is 85 now & it would be so nice to pass on any info you may have of him and his family. I know I have the correct Leonard Dwan from the records of his parents from his commemorative certificate. Any info you have would be much appreciated. Unfortunately I am unable to return the favour as I only who he was and when he went missing, so as far as the Dwan family tree goes I am very much in the dark. Kind regards, Sue

Dear Sue,

I am so, so sorry to have missed this. So much for alerts when anyone replies to your thread!

I started this several years and at least two usernames ago, and haven't worked on my family tree in ages.

I was really moved by your message and would love to get in touch if you are still interested and I'm not too late to be of use to you and your mother-in-law.

If you see this message, please e-mail me at genvic at gmx.co.uk.

Thank you,
Vicky
