I'm looking for confirmation of a World Connect tree.
According to one tree, Louisiana Overall b.1823 married George Washington Overall b.1820, and they had a daughter, Malinda Ellen Overall b. abt 1848.

Malinda Ellen Overall was my gg grandmother who married Charles Frances Parepoint sometime before 1874 and lived in Hardin Co., Kentucky. This I know.

The World Connect family tree shows many ancestors past Louisiana Duvall and include Gabriel Duvall and John Miles Duvall Sr.

Does anyone have knowledge of this family line?

but there is no Susan or Malinda! Born 1849, they should be listed!

The 1860 census lists G.W. and Martha (Lucy had died) with these kids:

Q: So where is this Malinda, anyway??

Since posting the original query many years ago, I've found a lot of information about this family, but the puzzle is never complete no matter how long you work on it.

Malinda Ellen Overall is my 2g grandmother.

I have photographs of Malinda and her family.
I don't have death dates/locations for most of the children of George Washington Overall, and the possible marriage of Mary A. - it appears that Gabriel and Joseph both died unmarried.

I have a bizarre photo of Jos W. Overall apparently standing next to his own gravestone, located in a civil war cemetery. The old guy in the photo with a huge white beard must be him. He is found unmarried in a civil war veteran's home in California in 1900. He's also in California in 1910.

The death date you have in your post for Susan Clark is a different Susan Clark. Susan Overall Clark apparently died 1900 - 1910 in Missouri - the Susan Clark in Oldham Co., KY died unmarried - her father was a Clark. Susan Overall's husband, C. C. Clark was shown in the 1930 Census in Kansas, age 75, but no clue about his death.

I have the family bible of Gabriel Duvall (b. 3 Oct 1787), the father of Louisiana Duvall - it has many names and dates in it, and those are reflected in my file. Lucy was a nickname.

It would be great to find any living descendants of George Washington Overall other than by Malinda Ellen Overall Parepoint(I know her descendants well.) It seems like all my research in that regard runs cold after 1930.

You're right -- I completely overlooked the last 2 names in the 1850 census record. As I look at your tree, since Malinda md. in 1871, that puts her around 24 -- which still makes me wonder why she wasn't listed in the 1860 census ...

You probably are aware of the issues in the Browning family tree. As I follow GW Overall up on your tree, his mother was Annie Browning, and Annie's father was James Browning (Q: refs for these?), but there seems to be some question as to James' parents: The Demarest Family (1964, compiler Voorhees Demarest) lists his parents and John Browning and Elizabeth Demarest as you have, but from a will I saw online of John Browning, there is no mention of James. The will lists these children:
Francis, John Jr., Joshua, William, Anna (Browning) Bird, Phoebe (Browning) Boring, Clara (Browning) Haralsan, Sincy (Browning) Fuller, and Millicent (Browning) Wright.

Are you certain that James' parents were John & Elizabeth?

FYI, the parents of Alice Earle are Elsie Alice Vreeland (1671-1748) and Edward Earle, Jr. (cir 1668-1713).

Easy one first .. - Malinda is living with her brother in Mt. Washington (nearby Bullitt Co.) in 1860 under a woman, M. Bell.

As far as Browning family tree goes, what I have listed in my rootsweb database is referenced - it is not my research - there is some disagreement about this, I know.

My database is for me, not a perfect source for everyone else. I change things from time to time when better information like yours comes about.

Based on your finding. I'll disconnect my James Browning b1745 from John and E. Demarest until I can find a more likely connection. To be honest, it has been so long since I looked at this, I've almost forgotten about it.

Frankly, I'm not really sure of the father of George Washington Overall because I haven't seen any records that would prove it to me. But Phyllis Lake and Eugene Britton seem very certain that Robert Overall and Annie Browning are his parents. I'm not convinced, but I don't have any records to use another connection.

I also don't completely trust records. They are inaccurate maybe 25% of the time. Age dates on census can be off by 2 or 3 years. Children listed are not always theirs. Sometimes the exact same people appear in the census twice and the info is different. All of the name spellings are suspect except for 'Mary' and 'John' lol. And people are actually missing from the census - usually the ones you are looking for ....lol.
