I have traced my Duquette line in Windsor Ontario
all the way back to 1880 with the marriage
of my great,great grandparents:
Oscar Duquette (b. Dec. 4, 1858 son of
Francois Xavier Duquette Celina dit
Remillard Robillard) and Alexandrine Poupard
(b. Mary 14, 1863) d/o Leon Poupard
Catherine LaCasse. Oscar Duquette
Alexandrine married on Oct. 5, 1880 at
Assumption Church.
Their children are:
my great grandmother Rose Duquette born
March 5, 1887 died May 2, 1958-Windsor,Ont.
she married William Joseph Surprenant-their son
Francis born in 1917 was my grandfather
Agay b. Jan. 28, 1894
Beatrice b. July 24, 1898
Claira b. June 8, 1892
Edward b. Sept. 10, 1900
Elizabeth b. April 30, 1885
Josephine b. Nov. 28, 1896
Marie b. Aug. 8, 1883 and Matile b. May 12,
1890.

I would love to know more info. on my
great grandmother's siblings. Rose Duquette
and William Surprenant are buried in
Our Lady of the Lake Cemetary near drouillard
Road. My grandfather Francis is buried
with them as well.

Consequently I have traced the Duquette family be
yond the Windsor area-all the way to
Pierre dit Sansreget Duquette in st. Cuthbert
quebec to 1793 with his marriage
to Catherine dit Janot Daigle (my fifth great
grandparents)
