ROUSES POINT — Agnes C. Duquette, 88, of Rouses Point, N.Y., and formerly of Florida passed away on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh. She was born in Rouses Point, N.Y., the daughter of Frank and Helen (Major) Morrelli.
Agnes enjoyed bingo, playing cards, sewing and knitting. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Champlain, N.Y., the Ladies of St. Ann, Home Bureau, Catholic Daughters of America, past president of the American Legion Auxiliary and a Girl Scout leader.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Clifford Duquette; and a brother, Robert Morrelli.
Agnes is survived by her two children, Gregory Duquette and his wife, Sandra of Peru, N.Y., and Candace Wright and life partner, Mary Scinto of Albany, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Michelle Duquette of College Park, Md., Heather Duquette of Chandler, Ariz., and Natasha Cucinella of Northville, N.Y.; and three great-grandchildren. A brother, Albert Morrelli; and sister, Bernadette Valin, also survive her.
At Agnes's request, their will be no public calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Champlain, N.Y. Entombment will be in Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens in Ellenburg, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Agnes's memory maybe made to Hospice of the North Country.
