are you familiar with Charleston. If not, there is an Area called Dupont Crossing, originally was a train stop in late 1800s. Hwy 17 South (Savannah Hwy) at Wappoo Road. This was an area heavily into truck farming (veggies) shipped north by train. I am looking for Ellen Meynardie who married a Dupont (later 1800s)-

IMy great grandfather was a physician. I do not have a date of birth for him but I am estimating 1830.s Since he graduated fromthe Medical school in S.C in 1858. I have discovered a few sons. Paul was my grandfather, GG or Gilbert was born in 1866. Sarah and Anne were his dauthers. He has at least two other children possibly a Charles, a Wilfred, these name run through the family. If you are looking prior to these dates the duponts my grandfatherand possible sibling were born in Savannah , Ga. I just moved into a new city and house so I don't have all my documents available. I have lots of information on my Zip disks which aren't unpacked hope this can helo; will get back to you with more details later.

If Ellen married in the late 1800's to duPont in the S.C.,GA.NJ area he would be one of my relatives. Wilfred du Pont my great grandfather had six children. It is probably one of these Ellen married. His eldest G.G or Gilbert du Pont was born in 1866 . My grandfather was Paul. There is also a Eugene,
Thomas, and a Charles. He had two girls but I,m missing one son. G.G had one son by the name of Wilfred. I do not know at the present any of the other siblings other than my grandfather and he was married in 1901. I am doing a lot of researchinto the family and if I come up with anything I will get in touch. Jane
