You might want to try Genes Reunited.com They have some helpful message boards there. I have had some luck looking for members of my Duncans Tree that are now living in England and had members that moved there from Scotland. As you must already know, there are Duncans all over Scotland. Many of the families used a naming pattern that re-uses names of the generation(s) prior. Perhaps you can locate some more documents such as a will or probate records. Sometimes, the cemetery will have information in addition to the info on a death certificate. I can't recall if you mentioned that there was an informant on the death certificate. Informants are often relatives and that might provide an extra clue. I will keep these names with my notes. If I should come across something I will be happy to notify you. My Duncans are in Scotland, England and USA. The Genes Reunited has been helpful with the folks in England, but is no help for those in Scotland unless they moved to England. Keep digging and see if you can find some additional info on your people. Best of Luck!
