Christian died at the Battle of Germantown, so your Mary born eleven years later cannot belong to this Christian Dull. There are so many others with the same name and in the same and related families that it is hard to sort them out.

The Hannah Catherine Dull 2-26-1786 to 2-25-1787 I have married Mehlor Ruth (Johan Michael Rugh),married in Center Pennsylvania and moved to Fairfield. Had Oliver P Rugh 1816-1892, A.J. Rugh 1817, Washington C Rugh 1818, and Hannah Rugh, who is with Michael in 1850 census in Indiana.

I too have been trying to find family information about Elizabeth Dull, Born about 1808 to 1810. My great-great grandfather was Ludwig (Lewis) Hershiser, B 1804. My great grandfather was Henry J Hershiser.
There is a lot of confusion between the Elizabeth Dull that married Lewis and the Elizabeth Dull (B 1832, D 1911) that married Leonard May Hershiser, son of Johanns and Elizabeth May Hershiser.

My line is this. Nancy Jane Hall married Robert Glover. One of their children Sarah Isabelle Hall married John Henry Dull on 31 December 1893 in Dallas Missouri.

From what I have found John Henry Dull Married Cansaidy Todd on 20 May 1878 in Dallas Missouri. Cansaidy died 7 August 1888 in Dallas Missouri.

Next John Henry married Jemima Trinch Holland 6 March 1889 in Dallas Missouri. She died 16 February 1892 in Dallas Missouri.

So Sarah Isabelle Glover was his third wife.

I have not gone that far back to John and Blanche Dull. I am still working on the Hall part of the family. I will try to help you if I can. Let me know.

My name is Carrie, I am a daughter of Linda Lon Dull, daughter of John Henderson and Blanche Pirecie Dull, son of William Beverly Dull and Mona Alice McClurg, son of John Henry Dull and Cansaidy Todd. I just happened to come across this site, and yes Sam Dull is related, I have a very old photograph of him and John and William. My great Aunt Virginia (Dolly) Dull, gave it to me. I am so VERy interested in any info due to the fact that I was the only child of Linda's given up for adoption.

Marilyn, Herbert and Rhetha Dull had 4 boys and 1 girl. Bruce, Vera, Harry, Paul and Wayne. Wayne Dull (BD. 1928) was the youngest and he is my father. I am most interested in what happened to James Francis Dull. I understand he moved to Toledo or somewhere close. I was wondering where he is buried or what happened to him. There does not seem to be much information on where or when he died. You may have met my father at Herbert's funeral. I was only one year old at the time Herbert died so I don't remember him. My Dad told me Herbert would take Rolland to see their father from time to time but Herbert would not speak to him. He was still upset about him leaving Susanna. Did you know Susanna was a bootlegger during prohibition?

Perhaps I can help with the dislocation of our family. I beleive James Francis Dull from IN may be my Greatgrandfather.
My Mother always told me that my Grandmother (Francis A. Jerraid) ran away with her sister's (Susan) husband.
My Mother ( Dorothy )was born in 1911 and lived for many years in Toledo OH. She had a sister Leila and a brother Allen.
I think we are related.
I've always wondered about the other side of my family.
I'd love to know more

You can find records of Jacob's baptism, as well as that of his wife & daughters at North Wales, Montgomery, Pennsylvania at St. Peter's (Yellow) Church, 1787-1856 RECORDS. Abraham's along with a brother's can be found at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Somerset, PA. Their records are only a small number that survived the fires that destroyed most of the church records of that period.

Yes, I have it that they had Wilamina, Adaline, Sarah & Amanda. Then in 1833 they had Abraham & supposedly others. I'd love to share information with you as I am a descendant of Abraham Dull, the sibling born right after Amanda. I suspect he migrated to furthest of all his siblings - moving from the east coast all the way across to the central plains of the US & then later on to Oregon. He died in 1915, his obituary making the front page of the newspaper in Oregon. Recently we were able to locate his unmarked grave.

Mary's full name was Mary (aka Marie) Ann Stuckey.

Ours is as follows:

Hans Peter DOLL b. 1641 m. Gertraut Reik b. 1642 and had Elisabetha B, Anna Catharina, Christoffel, Anna Elizabetha, Casper, Hans Peter, Anna Barbel, Philip, Anna Margretha, Johannes C, Johann Nickel, & Johann Peter.

Christoffel DULL b.1671 m. Sarah Margaret Schuch b.1686 and had Maria Margaretha, Anna Maria, Nicholas, Anna Caharina, Johann Peter, Casper, Maria Engel, Johamm Abraham, Johann Nickel, & Johann Christian. (Casper may also have had the first name of Johann, but I haven't found documentation of such)

Johann Christian DULL b.? m. Maria Catherine DROMM b.1716 and had the Christian b.1742 & Joseph.

Joseph DULL b.1750 m. Dorothea ? b.1765 and had the following children: Elizabeth, Daniel, John & Jacob.

Jacob DULL b.1789 m. Mary Ann Stuckey and had the following children (some of whom I was able to confirm through church baptism records): Wilamina, Adaline, Sarah A, Amanda, Abraham, Simon, Margaret, Daniel, Henrietta, Jacob, Joanna & Eleanora.

Abraham DULL (1831-1915) m. (1) Elizabeth Miller (1836-1866) & had the following children before dying at an early age: Rebecca, George H, Rachel. Abraham them later married Louisa E Terrill (1841-1897) with whom he had George, Hattie, Laura, Uda, Charles, Etta, Henry, Verona, Grace, William & Chloe Estella. Most of Abraham's children migrated to Oregon with him & many still live in the far western part of the US. After some digging we were able to locate Abraham's unmarked grave in Oregon.

Henry Austin DULL (1875-1935) m. Arminda L Larkins (1885-1948) & had the following children: Wayne, Orville, Jessie, Herald, Vernin, Pearl & Cecil.

Jessie Marie DULL m. Curtis Theodore Mann & had the following children: Wanda, Raymond, Darrell, Juanita & Myrtle

I am looking for the name of the Dull that Married Elizabeth Essick sometime in the late 1700`s in PA.
They are recorded as having lived in Montgomery co., PA and Mr. Dull had an ornamental farm.
They had the following known children: Mary Dull and Margaret Dull who were unmarried, Elizabeth Dull who married the Honorable Henry K. Boyer, Sarah dull married Edwin Coates, Hannah Dull married Rev. John Davis, Presbyterian minister, Theresa Dull married Samuel Custer, and Charles Dull, a paper merchant in Philadelphia.

Elizabeth Essick Dull is last found in the 1850 census living with her daughter Theresa Custer.
Any information on any of these people would be greatly appreciated.

This is the article I found:
The father of Mrs. Elizabeth Dull Boyer was a son of Christian Dull who was a soldier in the Rev. War, and was killed at the battle of Germantown. Mr. Dull (Christian`s son) resided near Mount Clare where he owned and managed a farm with scientific principles. He married Elizabeth Essick (b. abt. 1772) and had the following children- Mary. Margaret, Catharine, Elizabeth, Sarah, Hannah, Theresa, and Charles
Mr. Dull`s first name is not mentioned and I suspect that he died before 1830. Elizabeth Essick Dull was last found in the 1850 census living with her daughter Theresa Dull Custer.
I think that Mr. Dull and Elizabeth Essick are also the parents of my ggggfather James Dull who moved to Louisiana by the 1830 census.
Christians father (I think) is Casper Dull b. 1716 who emmigrated from Germany with his brothers Christian and Sebastian in 1739
If this is not your line, can anyone help me figure these Dulls out?

My Dull's were also in Bedford Co,Pennsylvania and some were alos buried in Schellsburg Cemetery. But,I don't seem to connect the names you listed.
I have an Abraham, born in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania,to Casper Dull, but I no other information.

Yes, James Francis Dull was married to Susanna Jerraid and then ran off with Susanna's youngest sister, Frances. My grandfather is Herbert and he was the oldest son of James and Susanna. There were two other sons Rolland and Charles. I have since discovered James and Frances had a daughter Leila F. that married a Harrington. How are you related?

DULL FAMILY I have been working on the Jacob and Mary Ann Dull family as my Great Great Grandmother, Mary Margaret, was the oldest daughter. She was born in 1830 and her name is Mary Margaret Dull Deal. She is buried in Rossville, Iowa. She married Martin Deal (Diehl) at a young age and then moved to Iowa. Her brothers Abraham, Simon Barjonas, and Daniel J. also moved to Iowa to join her. Abraham listed as Abram in the 1880 census moved on to Nebraska. I am trying to put the entire family together and visited Monona's Historical Society earlier this summer. I live in Minnesota and took some pictures of the Dull tombstones that I found in Monona's Cemetery. If you are interested in corresponding my name is Carol and my address is RCMBTCK@AOL.com.

William B Dull and Thomas are the only 2 names that are listed in the records that I have. It mentions that they
had 4 children who died at birth.
John Henry Dull 2nd marriage to Jemima T Holland resulted in no children
The children of his 3rd marriage to Sarah Isabelle Glover

I have Christian Dull (b: 1742 married to Elizabeth Detor) I have their child Mary Dull born: 15 Feb 1786 married to Robert McMinn abt 1800 and married to John Andrew Mcminn about 1810 and their child being born 1812 named John Andrew McMinn who is my great great grandfather. Both mother Mary Dull and child #8 Margaret Worrell McMinn were wives of heber C. Kimball. Mary Dull was sealed to Heber C. Kimball on 21 May 1848 at Winter Quarters, Douglas, NE. (Info from LDS Doc FDile #250) SLC Cemetery files. ( I received this info from S. Standing.
I also have a family group on Christian Dull b: 12 Aug 1742 Philadelphia, PA died: 6 May 1820 (age 78) Gwynedd, Twp., Montgomery Co.m Pa and Elizabeth Dotter or Detterer b: 12 Sept 1749 Frederick Twp., Montogmery, PA, died: 22 Nov 1823 (age 74) Gwenedd Twp., Montgomery, PA, buried: Germantown, Philadelphia, PA. and their children and spouses.
Mary Dull married John Andrew McMinn also.

Hello, I don't know if the DULL family members I am tracing are connected with your DULL members, but Abraham DULL and MICHAEL DULL were apparently in Schellsburg, Bedford, PA. Abraham is my gr-grandfather. His son was Henry Dull, the father of my grandmother Jessie Marie DULL. I have not been successful in tracking down Abraham & Michael's father's or mother's name. So I hit the brick wall in Pennsylvania.

Hmmm the name Casper has come up in our line as well. Perhaps they are related & are passing on common family names. We only have one Henry A Dull.

Our family will be holding a DULL family reunion this summer & I'm hoping to learn more from others in the family who are doing genealogy also. Some are within the Mormon church and some are outside the church. But perhaps between all of our work we will findly break through this brick wall.

Sorry to take so long to answer--changed my email so wasn't aware of your message. I've had no further luck identifying the family of Elizabeth Dull. Did get some additional info on descendants of Lewis Harry Hershiser (1858-1931), who was the son of John A. and Susannah (Diehl) Hershiser, if you're interested.

I can't answer your question about twins' names, but I can pass on some information that may, or may not help you. This may be all old news to you. My name is Todd Dull, my father's name was John Arnold Dull, & my gradfather's name was Joe Dull. My grandfather had a brother named Sam Dull. At one time we all lived in Dallas County Missouri, in Long Lane, Missouri to be exact. My dad has a sister named JoAnn, she married into the Bramwell family, I'll ask her if she may know the names you're looking for. Let me know if any of this helps.
