I am confused but am sure we have a family connection. My Great Grandmother was a Stuefloten. She had a brother, Ole, who married a Louise Field. I have their children as Elmer, Katherine, Nicholas, Stanley, Eleanor, Edwin, Anna and Margaret. Thier son Nicolas I show married to Georgia V Duggan who was born 1909 and died 1974 in Woodland, CA. I show their children as an Etta Louise b 1931 and an Albert. I show Albert's children as Barbara, Inez and Candie.

Can you help my confusion. I have had a great deal of problems getting information on Ole's side of the Stueflotens. I have a great deal, including pictures, on my G Grandmothers's other brothers and sisters and parents.

I am Ole Stuefloten's great-granddaughter. I have information on the Stuefloten's - some from census records, some from family information. I spent quite a lot of time with Ole's first cousin Sofie Stuefloten Heins(Paul Stuefloten's daughter). I was pretty young at the time but took notes... they've given me clues on where to look.
What information do you need?

I would appreciate anything you have. I have very little on Paul and Sofia. I only have one picture of Ole taken in 1967. I have a Stuefloten history written by one of Annie Stuefloten's daughters that says "Olie"?? and his brother Louis left home and joined a Wild West Show; that they left the show in Santa Barbara and that is where Ole married Louise Field, Augut 1901.

I have put together a PowerPoint presentation from the pictures I got from my Grandmothers book of Ole's brothers and sisters as far down in those generations as I could go. I would be happy to send that to you if you would like a copy.

I think it is a shame the cousins on that side never knew each other so it is important to capture whatever we can and save it for the next generation.

I would love to see you powerpoint, and anything else you have. I have some photos that used to belong to my grandmother, Ann Stuefloten Thornton (later Bishop). I have them scanned on a disc and would be happy to share. They include Martin, Sever, John, & Mary (I think that would be your Mary??).
I have some information on Paul's family that I got from Sofie and her sister Olive. Sofie also told me about Karen Broste and her family, and I've found a little on the Broste's in the census records.
I agree - capturing information and sharing it is incredibly important. For some reason I was bitten by the genealogy bug when I was 8,and I've been collecting information ever since. I would love to share what I have and collect more to fill in the holes.
