Do you know what Ohio county your John Dugan was born in?
I am researching Dugan's in Preble Co, OH - namely my gr gr grandfather, Lewis T. Dugan b: c 1833 in Preble Co., m:1852 in Randolph Co., IN to Sarah Ann McGuire, and then found in Cass Co., IN in 1861.
There were not just too many Dugan's in these area's in 1830's - 1860 that I can find, but it is hard to find info on the Ohio GenWeb, on any Dugan.
Like to correspond with you on the Dugan's.
