I am researching the Charles Drew family that lived in Nova Scotia in the 1881 and 1891 Canadian census. The children appear on the 1900 US census with no parents and minus the two oldest brothers. I have traced a few of the siblings (one being my grandmother) but cannot find any information on why the kids moved from Canada to the US without the parents.
