Caught by Saw
Last Tuesday Jacob Drabenstot, a son of Michael Drabenstot, was badly injured by being caught by the slab saw, at Houser's mills, about six miles east of this city. The saw caught him in the back making very severe cuts. Dr. Gemmill, of Markle, rendered medical assistance, and has but little hopes of the patient getting over the injury.
The particulars are hard to obtain. From the best information at hand it seems the saw was held down by means of a weight. The weight broke and the saw struck the unfortunate man, cutting him so badly that the inner organs of the body protruded.
Drabenstot is about 35 years of age and has two children, his wife having died some time ago.

A horrible accident occurred at a sawmill near Markley, in Huntington County. The rope wich held the circular saw broke, and the saw struck John Drabenstot, a mill hand, in the back, ripping his body almost open. He died in a short time.
