I am looking for information about the family of Vaslav Drabek. He was born Sept 8, 1883 in Stare' Sedlo, Czech. We know nothing about his family except that his father was killed in a coal mine and that he had brothers and at least one sister. Vaslav came to the United States in Jan, 1904. He is listed on the passenger list for the "Frankfort" landing in New York.

We do know that some of his siblings lived in the Pisek area during WWII.

If anybody can help with information about the family or know of some helpful source of info, I would greatly appreciate it.

One of my great great grandfathers was Vaclav Drabek born 1837 died 1917, married to Mary Pribly born 1843 died 1912. He had a son named Charles Frank whose son Elmer John was my grandfather.
I have some of the records and can get others from my mother Loraine, daughter of Elmer.
If any of this rings any bells let me know.
My email is Djarr555@yahoo.com
Thanks,
Donna Sloan Jarrett

I was the attorney for Vernon J. Drabek of Oklahoma City, OK. Both Mr. Drabek and his wife have passed away with no children. I have found several items of Drabek information which may be of interest to distant Drabek family members. One of these items is a small pamphlet which was published on February 15, 1956. It is entitled the Drabek Family. It does refer to Vaclav Drabek as one of the children of Joseph Drabek from Prague, Austria. If anyone wishes to contact me regarding this information, please do so.

My grandmother was Anna Drabek Chiotti Nicholas. Her family came to Illinois from Bohemia, then they dispersed all throughout the US...Michigan, South Dakota and some remained in Illinois. I would very much like any information you can give.

Hi. I`m Heather, from OK, and I have a family tree that includes Vaclav Drabek and Mary Pribyl. Also, my family came to Wheatland, OK, during the land run. I have a book of descendants of Vaclav and Mary. Elmer John Drabek is also on the family tree. I was very excited to find your post. I hope to hear from you soon.

Could you possibly give me the names of the people you are looking for? Vaclav Drabek, my ancestor, had eight brothers and sisters. And, as I understand it, they spread out quite a bit.
