My mom's name is Diana. Her mother was Adela (nee) Jones whose siblings were Mabel, Edgar, Connie, Edith, Madeline, George, Grace, Lil (Lavinia). Not sure of the birth order.
My mom had a photo of a Madeline--I'm guessing the younger one.

Hello

I think the Madeline (daughter) pic you refer to is/was my mother.

I'm Cheryl Gilham - sister of Glenn

I have a pic somewhere of Great Aunt Grace, who, as you are probably aware, lived at some time in the grounds of the White House, Washington

How exciting to have found a descendant of Great Aunt Adela

best wishes
Cherri

Hi Ken - better late than never as you say. Just found your question.

Yes we are from Buxton - my father was John, known as Jack, his brother was Deryck who ran a corner shop on Torr Street. Grandfather (John) and Grandmother (Clara) lived at 29 South Avenue until Deryck moved to the shop in 1954? when Clara moved to Torr Street.

I think that you were known as Kenny - hope that you are well

Ken Drabble

Hi Cherri, pleased to meet you second cousin :) Cheryl is my mother inlaws name, nust be a popular name hay.

I am male, 27 years old. Married to Nicole Sarah Phipps and have three beautiful children.

Sylvia (my grandmother) sadly passed away few years back. (bad I don't remember the year) my wife knows whos having a nap...)

What I can tell you is she was a sister to 13 siblings. She married my Grandfather Kenneth William Spashett (also deceased) exactly 1 year prior to Sylvia's passing. They had three children who I know of, eldest Kevin, Chris and Michael (my father). You may not have heard of Michael as when they left for NZ, he was quite young... All still alive. Recently we found that they possibly had an older half brother which was not Kenneths child.. which ofcourse we found suprizing. None of the Spashett's here in New Zealand know him nor have meet him so is a big mystery to us really. From memory, I think his name is Andrew but don't hold me to it. Kevin thinks he has one son, Nicholas to an ex girlfriend/partner. But then married Valerie Bull? (deceased due to Cancer at a young age) he is currently single living in the North Island of New Zealand. Chris is the second eldest, who is married to Robyn. They have two children Shane and Tracey. Sadly, the three brothers have little contact between them. I actually just visited Kevin a week ago for the first time in probably 3 years. Then there is my father Michael who has divorced from my mother Lisa and remarried to Sonya. I am the eldest, Jonathan, Ceriah (sister) and Stuart. I have two daughters Riley, Taylor and one son Kaden. Ceriah has two sons, Cyroe and Caliboston. Ceriah and Stuart are currently situated in Australia.

If you have anymore information regarding Sylvia's first son, or anything really I would like to know so I can update the family here in New Zealand. My email address is smasher_cole@windowslive.com if this is easier.

Hope to hear from you in the future.

All the best

Yours sincerely

Ashley WIlliam Spashett
