In 2002 I sent a request for my relative Elijah R. Stuart (Stewart). I recently went through his papers again and had forgotten that also I had some of the Civil War pension papers of John Downs that were sent to me by mistake from the National Archives. Place and date of birth of John: B, in Missouri 1844. Married Lucie Kimpline (sp.) Children: Charles N., Thomas L., Jesse A., Edd A. Downs. His wife was married before to Joseph Dellow (sp.) but was "killed by indians at Missouri Valley". Date of death of John:Sept. 28, 1923. Apparently lived in Nebraska (Oneill, Holt County) and Oklahoma.
