I was just reading that Thomas Dow and his son Benjamin came to Yorkshire, Cattaraugus, NY about 1810 from Vermont. He's a blacksmith. The Book of Dow has Mary Barker Dow as his wife. I've pencil notes that she died 16 Aug 1823. Did he leave her in Vermont? I'll have to look in the Danville or Methuen Vermont records.
