I believe I am descended from George and Letitia Dougherty, born in Ireland, migrated to U.S. in 1821, where they originally settled in Pennsylvania. Had daughter Mary Ann, who was born at sea, married Joseph Corbett 1837. By 1850, Corbetts and George and Letitia Dougherty were in Table Mound twp, Dubuque, Iowa. George Dougherty died before 1856 census. Letitia died Nov. 11, 1872, and is buried in the Holy Family Cemetery in Peosta.
