Neil and Mary Anne Dougherty came to Philadelphia with 5 children around 1922 from Glenties.
They lived in St Gabriel's Parish on South 27th Street.
Neil played fiddle with Ed Reeves.

I am looking for information on Neil's parents. Neil was born in 1881 and had the following siblings: Tom, James, John, Dan, Mary, Patrick, Anne and Anthony. They would have been born in or around Glenties between 1870 and 1890.
Also, I am looking for Mary Anne's siblings and parents. Her maiden name was Gillespie. She came to NY and worked as a housekeeper around 1900, but returned to Ireland, married Neil, had 6 children, one died, and returned to America with Neil and the kids to Philadelphia where Neil had a friend who planned to give him a job in his bar, but prohibition was in process. Neil later worked at Hurlock Brothers on Market Street.

There are two sets of Doherty's in Glenties, and I am trying to sort them out. Any info on Neil Dougherty (Doherty in Ireland) and his wife Mary Anne Gillespie would be greatly appreciated.
