Found a marriage record for Emily Jane Dotson and Eli Carey Snyder. It shows that they were both single at the time of the marriage on 14 Feb 1901. Here's the link to the record:

I asked someone at the WV Univ. Library to help me look for obits for Ora Doak's sons (Crandall & James). Maybe those will mention Orrie Dotson. I'll let you know if I have any luck.
