Mark Dooley and Honora Ryan, Irish emigrants to Utica NY, probably to work on the Erie Canal. Mark probably came from County Cork, probably about 1815-1820. He and Honora married in Utica in 1828, had 3 children (Ann, Jeremiah and John J.). Seeking ANYTHING on these people. Mark was not commonly used name back then, might have been nickname for Michael. Did he come here alone or are you descended from a sibling? Are you related to Honora Ryan Seymour (Dooley)? Are you in Ireland and seeking a Mark Dooley who disappeared from the family tree in the early 19th century? I have had my DNA tested and results are available to compare with other Dooley's (I'm not related to all the Dooley's in the American South. THANKS!!
