I am interested in your Richard Dolben Naval Capt and my Richard Dolben who wrote about astrology. His letter is on page 667 of The Familiar Astrologer. I found the book online at openlibrary.org. Richard was a school teacher in Beverly in 1831 when he wrote to have his horoscope printed. He had a number of jobs/careers over the years. I am descended from his second wife Caroline Amelia Dodge who was born in Nova Scotia and died in Pittsburgh, PA. According to a family history written in 1940's by his youngest daughter-Richard was oldest son of Richard Dolben who was an Army officer on half pay. It mention his two brothers John and William.
