Sue Dobson--are related to other Dobsons in the Yorkshire area. My ggg grandfather, Thomas Dobson was from that area before he moved to the United States in about 1825-1835. Thomas, b. 1798, married Mary (unknown) while in England. Their children were born in England--Charles, Elizabeth, & Charlotte. Thomas and his three children were baptised at Adwick Le Street. (I'm not sure whether Adwick Le Street is the name of a town or the name of a church??? Charles was the oldest child and he was born in 1822.

Would you be able to help with any additional information on this Dobson family? I was told that Thomas father was John Dobson b. 1764 & died 5 Apr 1839. John married 13 Aug 1786 to Ann Machin b. 1767 & died 13 May 1837. Thomas had two sibling. Thanks for any help from anyone who can provide information on these families.
