Please read my message to Benjamin regarding the origin of the name "Dlugokecki" --- however, this would apply to the "true" Dlugokecki's and not to imposters or servants who may have usurped the name (it is indeed a noble name). The original Dlugokecki was dubbed the "Lord of Dlugo Kanty" --- this is historical and has been published in the Chronicles of Powiat Mlawski (on their Polish website). You would have to trace your family tree to see if you are descended from this clan. (the chronicles are published only up to 1850 --- the chronicles from 1850 onward are in Russian! --- but don't be discouraged --- because the Polish Government is in the process of translating these chronicles into Polish, English, and French. Isn't that nice? Now we can all continue to trace our lineage to see if we are descended from these lovely people!
