Mary Djubek, 94, of Export, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, in William Penn Care Center, Penn Township. She was born Oct. 28, 1916, in Grantwood, N.J., a daughter of the late Frank and Maria (Dellapenna) Delose. Mary worked as a waitress at Westmoreland Country Club where she retired in 1995, after 20 years of service. She was a member of St. Mary Church, Export, where she organized the Altar Rosary Society. Mary will be remembered for being a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing and crafts. Her devotion to family and friends was limitless. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eggie Djubek;
and a sister, Elizabeth Slongo. Mary will be sadly missed by her friends and family, including her devoted daughter, Marlene (Ed) Askey, of Export; loving grandchildren, Rachelle Grubb, Kevin (Patty) Askey and Ronald (Tracey) Askey; adoring great-grandchildren, Dillon Askey and Justin Grubb; adoring step great-grandchildren, Laura and Robbie Bush; also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Friends received from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the WOLFE-VON GEIS FUNERAL HOME INC., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export, 724-327-1400. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary Church, Export, with Father Michael P. Sikon as celebrant. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Export.
