Does anybody have information on a George W Dixon? He was born on December 21st 1849 in England, according to a granddaughter of his, who is now about 83. I don't know if that birth date is correct, but if it was, I don't think it would have been recorded, and only the baptism may have been, which would have probably been in 1850.

I believe he came to the US in 1868. He got married to a French Canadian in 1876, either in Southern Canada, or Upstate New York, in the Altona/Malone/Clinton area.

He lived in Upstate New York, Canada, and New Jersey in his later life, where he died in 1937.

His granddaughter also said that he had one leg. I don't think she knows why he had only one though. Anybody that might have a connection or know ANYTHING, please respond. If anyone needs anymore information as well I 'd be glad to give it to them.
