Just finding your welcome post on Dinsmore-McConaughy connections. I'm a cousin to Elizabeth McConaughy (1822-1874) m. T H Dinsmore (1819-1905), one of several minister sons of Moses Dinsmore (1783-1836) and Irenea Braddock (1790-1834).

This Elizabeth is descended from my line, 4th great grandparents from Northern Ireland, David McConaughey (1762-1823) and Martha Lindsey (1765-1843).

With Pat McConaughy Gregory, we've always thought our Ohio/West Virginia family was connected to the Gettysburgers, but haven't confirmed it back in Ireland. Perhaps the Dinsmore connection is the lead. Hope to hear more.
