We have an old photo album with mostly unidentified photos from the 1800's. We believe it was left in my husband's home in North Vancouver and, thinking it was his family's, he packed it when he moved. He has since checked with his relatives and there does not seem to be any connection to the McKee family. There is one photo of Mark Dowzer taken in 1893, Stockton, California and an “In memorium” card for Mrs. Ann Jane "Jennie" Dowzer, (nee McDonald) who died in 1892 at age 45. She and Mark were married in St. Mary's, Ontario. There are a number of photos from a studio in St. Mary's, some in Stockton, Cal. and some from Manitoba and Saskatchewan. I assume that the entire photo album may be connected to the Dowzer/McDonald/Sterne family in some way. John McDonald of St. Mary’s, Ontario, is also identified in one of the photos, surrounded by his four children.
