Dear Sheila Fritsch,

Well it looks like we are cousins. Dave and Anna Dinkins are my great grandparents also. I am a descendant of their son Arthur Dinkins (1894-1965) and his wife Mattie Roach (1897-1972).

I actually have been trying to contact you for several months now, ever since I read the informatation that you posted on the Lunsford website "Good 'Ol Mountain News". All of the names that you provided match the info that I have. I would love to exchange info with you and anyone else researching this line. My email address is sam.dinkins@gte.net.

My grandfather was Walter Dinkins, who was the son of David Dinkins, that lived in Whitley County, Ky and moved to Cincinati, Ohio.
I am also looking for information about David Dinkins. I have
been told that he came with two brothers I do not know their names, nor does my father, Marion Dinkins (son of the Walter Dinkins of the above).
Also I have been told that David Dinkins middle name was Crockett, after the frontiersman, Dave Crockett, because he was born close to
where Crockett lived. I have also been told that David was a Captain for the South during the Civil War. I hope this helps. If you have any
more information please reply. Thanks.

his children. I have confirmed it with my father and uncle. It is http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/d/i/n/Samuel-A-Dinkins/....
Pretty long I know or just go to www.familytreemaker.com and do a search for Davey Dinkins

By way of introduction, my grandparents were David and Anna (Lunsford) Dinkins. My father was Clarence Dinkins, brother of Arthur, Harvey, Walter and David Dinkins. All lived in or near the Cincinnati area and all are deceased. I'll be more than happy to share any info I have. Contact me here or at my e-mail: bldnis3144@earthlink.net. I have wanted for some time to put together a family tree for my kids and grandkids but never had any information. Any replies will be welcome. Thanks, Bill.

Hello William. The only David Dinkins I've seen in geneology pages is:
Dinkins, David MECKLENBURG CO. North Carolina in STEELE CREEK TWP
This was from the NC 1870 Census. If you have information on Dates of Birth and Location,
it will help others to respond to you.

Also make your posts on the Genforum Dinkins Family Board at URL:
http://genforum.genealogy.com/dinkins/

Most of my Dinkins ancestory is from Indiana (1834) stemming from North Carolina (Early 1800's)

Good Luck
