Greetings,
I have done extensive work on the descendants of John Bates DINGWELL, born about 1730, Culloden area, as he as a ten year old brought home a musket from the battlefield. My John was married to a Margaret BOYD, and came out on the Lovely Nelly to St. John's Island now Prince Edward Island, in 1774/5 not sure of the year as the Lovely Nelly made two trips one in 1774 and one in 1775. Most of this family spelled their name DINGWELL, although some spelled it DINGWALL. I presently have 6,946 descendants in 11 generations. I have reached the point that I must find some connections in Scotland and start forward from there.
Must keep rooting,
TINY
