My grandmother died about a week ago. She was Edvegia Nicoletta "Edith" DiMeglio (b. 3/17/1907 Buonopane, Ischia, Italy; m. Giovanni Ernesto Satta 1936 NYC; d. 11/27/2001 Norwalk, Connecticut)
Her father was Vincenzo DiMeglio (b. ca. Jun 1870, Ischia; m. Angelina Mattera; d. 1/7/1946 NYC)
Vincenzo was born in Ischia, had three children in Italy: Josephine, my grandmother Edith, and Nicholas; the family came to America and had more children: Francesco was born in Chester, PA; Philomena and Rose were born in Montclair, New Jersey; two others died in infancy: Andrew, and Gloria; a second Gloria was born in New York.
I have dates, spouses, and children for them as well.
Naming convention would dictate that Vincenzo's parents were Nicholas, and Josephine. If anyone has information beyond this, please let me know. I hope this helps.
