Sorry, but to my knowledge there were only two brothers. John Sterling and Green. Green, according to family history, changed the spelling of his last name and no one knows how it was changed. I found John Sterling in the 1900 census in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It stated that he was born in Arkansas in 1858 and that both of his parents were born in Louisana. I haven't found them, but am still looking.
Elouise

Sorry I can't help without your query, but have you ever heard of Fightin' Jim Dillhyon or Dillon? Grandmother insisted that was her father's name. Have always assumed it was James Dillon but now that I've seen this spelling of yours, I'm wondering. Grandmother's name (Jim's daughter) was Mary Elizabeth, and she married Floyd Edward Bailey. They lived around McDowell County, southern WV. Please let me know if there's any tie to your John Dillhyon.
Thanks.....Judy
